Mmmm… Memorial Day Weekend…
The smell of barbecue, birds singing, temperatures warming, time to unwind…
Here in Boulder, the Bolder Boulder 10K foot race attracts over 50,000 runners from all over the world for a giant outdoor running party.
A little after noon, the Blue Angels swoop low over Folsom Field where the race culminates.
The flyover and other special events there commemorate the amazing men and women around the world and over the years who’ve made the ultimate sacrifice so we can enjoy our freedoms.
And, as I reflect on this, I celebrate you, the American entrepreneur.
You know more than most, especially in this time when politicians in Washington seem hell bent on turning us into a nation of dependents on big government, that freedom to pursue your dreams is not a given. It’s often hard won.
So hats off to you. Even if not enough people around you recognize it – YOU are AWESOME!
